VIRGINIA WOOLF’S ORLANDO

VIRGINIA WOOLF’S ORLANDO is a new, evening-length performance inspired by the Virginia Woolf novel, with music by Shara Nova (formerly Shara Worden) and a libretto by Andrew Ondrejcak, who will also direct and design the production. Ms. Nova will play the title role. The character of Orlando lives through multiple centuries, embodying the fashion and customs of the day. Born a biological male, Orlando mysteriously switches genders in the novel and continues evolving – through sexes and occupations, circumstances of love, boredom, despair, and hope.
